My laboratory is interested in the transmission of signal across membranes by protein receptors, with a focus on medically-relevant receptors involved in heart function.
We use a combination of molecular biology and biochemistry with state of the art cryo-electron microscopy and computational methods to obtain atomic models of these receptors. Our aim is to understand how they work and how we could modulate them with molecular tools to treat disease.
